You Set the Date and Got Your Venue...Now what?

You’ve don’t the most important task that is needed to start your wedding planning. Now what do you do?

My first suggestion is to get those main vendors you have been dreaming of that you cannot live without. We all book up quickly and you want to make sure that you get everyone you have dreamed of.

However, in all seriousness, do not delay on hiring a wedding stationer. There is a timeline that you need to get your invitations out to your guests AND your invitations are the first thing your guests will see. These are going to set the tone for your big day.

If you book with me I like to give us a 2 month window for designing and for printing your stationery. I like to think we can get it done in one month but with all the potential delays and shortages this gives us more wiggle room. I am not saying that we will be designing for a whole two months but we will have the time to design for a month and give the printing side about a month as well. I like the safety cushion!

So now you may be wondering… when should I hire my wedding stationer?

My answer for you is a minimum 6-8 months before your wedding.

You will want to get on their schedule and make sure your date is secured with them, so if you have a stationer you have been dreaming of then book them as soon as possible!

Also your wedding Save the Dates should be mailed out 4-6 months before your wedding, with the great wedding surge we are seeing from the pandemic’s cancellations, I would suggest that you mail them out 6 months because they may be getting invited to several weddings this year. And your wedding invitations should be mailed out 2 months before your wedding.
